Synopsis: The Aluf Protagonist: A bookworm who is deeply alienated from the world in which he lives. He has no interest in others and is firmly convinced that no one has any interest in him. His story begins when he reads a handwritten book, titled "Living with Death." He soon identifies it as a secret diary of his popular, bubbly classmate Sakura Yamauchi. He then confides in her about the pancreatic disease she is suffering from and the rest of her time is limited. Only his family knows about his illness; Not even his best friends know. Despite this revelation, he shows zero sympathy for her plight, but caught in Sakura's constant wave of euphoria, he eventually agrees to stay with her for the rest of his days.
As the pair of polar opposites interact, their bond strengthens, interweaving through their choices as each day passes. Her apparent incoherence and unpredictability disrupt the flow of the hero's uneventful life, slowly opening his heart as he discovers and embraces the true meaning of living.
