Synopsis: In Japan's Edo Period, a select group of convicts awaiting execution were offered a pardon and freed by the Japanese shogunate if they went to investigate a recently discovered island in the southwest of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Convicts are accompanied by elite guards to ensure they do not escape. Once they get there, they are overwhelmed by the island's inhabitants, a group of monsters and their creators, a group of immortal beings. Now the convicts and the guards must work together to stop the immortals and escape the island.
